Turquoise valance – A tab top valance provides an attractive alternative to other turquoise valance styles. Make tabs to a tab top turquoise valance, Cut a 3 1/2-inch by 9-inch piece of fabric or a 9-inch piece of ribbon or trim for each tab. Fold each piece of fabric in half lengthwise, wrong sides together and pin. Sew down the fixed side, 1/4 inch from the cut edge. Disregard this step if you use ribbon or trim. Turn tabs right. Smooth each tab on the ironing board with the seam centered on the back of the strip and press nicely.

Fold over 1/2 inch at the rear on one end of each tab and press. Bring the other end of the tab over to meet the folded end and pin. Sew in the width of the tab close to each raw edge where the ends meet. Position tabs at each end and spread uniformly along the back of the top of the turquoise valance. Add next to each tab with raw ends towards the turquoise valance fabric and make sure all tabs extending over the top. Sew tabs to turquoise valance.
